FAQ

Questions brands ask before they start.

Dragon Maiden Technology Limited is a Hong Kong-based activewear development and supply chain partner for established brands. These are direct answers on how we work: development, sampling, production, intellectual property and payments.

Working with us

Do you provide stock or ready-made activewear?

No. Dragon Maiden does not sell stock, blank or white-label garments. Every program is developed for the client’s own brand, from technical development and fabric selection through sampling and production.

Who do you work with?

Emerging premium activewear brands, premium fitness labels, fashion companies entering performance wear, and brands that need technical development support.

Our process is not designed for one-time personal orders, dropshipping or generic wholesale sourcing.

I have an idea for a brand. Can you help me start?

We work best with brands that already have a clear product direction: a defined customer, a target price point and an initial production plan.

If you have that, the Product Development & Fit Validation Package is the right first step. It turns your concept into a reviewed, production-ready technical starting point before money is spent on samples.

Development & sampling

What is the Product Development & Fit Validation Package, and what does it cost?

It is our fixed-fee entry service, starting from $399 USD. It includes a technical design review, fabric recommendation, construction analysis, initial Tech Pack preparation in English and Chinese, a manufacturing feasibility review and one revision round.

It is typically delivered in 7–10 business days. If you proceed, the fee is credited toward your sample and development cost.

How long do sampling and production take?

Typically 7–10 business days for the Development Package, 15–20 business days for physical sampling, and 30–45 business days for bulk production after PP-sample approval.

Exact timing depends on fabric, construction and the number of fit rounds, and is confirmed in writing for each program. See the Development Process.

Do you use AI?

Yes, as a tool rather than a decision-maker. Our digital product development uses an AI-assisted workflow for pattern development, built on digital pattern references and technical data management.

Fit, construction and fabric decisions are made and checked by people.

Production

What is your MOQ?

Programs typically start from 100–300 units per style/color, depending on fabric and construction.

Smaller runs are possible because we work with mills’ in-stock and ready-dyed performance fabric programs. Custom-dyed or custom-knit fabrics follow the mill’s minimums, which we confirm during development.

Do you have your own factory?

No, by design. Dragon Maiden manages production through a network of specialized partner facilities, and each program is placed with the facility best suited to its construction.

Before we work with a facility, we vet its social-compliance audit status, technical capability, capacity and quality-control systems. We remain your single point of contact and accountability. See our Manufacturing Network.

How do you control quality?

Quality control is staged: fabric inspection, pattern and sample review, inline production QC, and final inspection.

Performance checks are specified in the Tech Pack and verified: 4-way stretch and recovery, squat-proof opacity, seam strength and colorfastness to perspiration. Accredited third-party lab testing can be arranged on request.

How will I know what is happening with my program?

No black-box manufacturing. During sampling and production you receive weekly visual updates and proactive alerts if a risk to quality or timing appears. Every bulk order is approved by video before it ships.

IP & payments

How do you protect my designs?

A mutual NDA governed by Hong Kong law is available before you share any files. Clients retain ownership of their product concepts and approved technical documents; Dragon Maiden provides the expertise and manufacturing execution to bring those concepts into production.

Files are shared with partner facilities only as each step requires, under confidentiality obligations. Our own label, which serves as our R&D lab, never uses client designs or files. See our NDA Protocol.

How do payments work?

Invoices are issued by Dragon Maiden Technology Limited (Hong Kong) on a milestone basis and paid by international bank transfer (SWIFT). Each invoice is tied to a defined stage of your program. There are no hidden fees.
